CHA was so much fun!! The classes were great. There were so many new things this year. But I think the turn out was down from last year :( Prima had a huge drawing they would do every couple of hours. If your # was picked you got to scoop as many flowers as you could in 10 seconds. I have sooooo many woohoo. I plan on passing the love on soon :) Ranger has this new alcohol ink pen that is to die for. What you do is use your existing inks and fill the empty cartridge. It's dual tipped and lasts forever. Tim Holtz said he filled his in July and is still using the same ink. I have to say that was my favorite "tool" at CHA!!! Now favorite new line, I would have to say it would be Adrienne Looman's line for PRIMA. Love it!!! It is super fresh and fun, so original.
This year the GO GREEN theme at CHA was fun. All of the tote bags from the booths were the eco friendly ones you would find at the grocery store. Alot of talk on how to repurpose items to make them new again. Using embelishments, paints, inks and more to get extra life from things you already have. Prima, www. Whencreativityknocks.com, 7 Gypsies had great examples. I hope to have my class projects up online soon.
EK Success Had a scrappers challenge every day they would pick 5 tickets and those five people would have 30 min. to create something out of only the materials given, then they would vote who won. GUESSS What :) I won one of the challenges. They handed out a trophy and all of the supplies left over on the table. It was pretty cool.Well I have to go back to work now :( Have more up soon.
