SteamPunk Dress Form

I got a little altered the last couple of days. Needed to amp up the creative juices. So I bought a couple of these paper mache dress forms from Michaels. My first one I did is this Steampunk one.

All of the leather pieces on this are actually Tim Holtz Grunge Paper :) Altered with Glimmer Mist (Coffee Shop) and Glimmer Glaze(Cowboy). The body of the form was sprayed with Coffee Shop as well. I cut a window into the front and adhered lace onto the inside with Gel Medium.

The hat and trunk are also Grunge Paper. The stand is actually a Prima ribbon spool holder. I altered it with Tim Holtz crackle paint and glimmer glaze ( Cowboy)

Here is a side/back view. I made a little bustle in the back with some altered lace.

The inside was sprayed and altered with Coffee shop and Peppermint Stick. There are numerous Prima flowers, Old watch gears and Tim Holtz embellishments.

Now I am going to start on the next one. :) I may be selling these. If I do I will let you all know. Hugs All

Jamie

  3. Your dress form is truly brilliant - every little detail works together to enhance the steam punk idea! Did you make the hat and trunk from the grunge board - do you have a pattern for the hat? I can't express how truly inspired I am by your piece - I am sure that they would sell. Have a super week and it's great to see that you are progressing toward your goal.
