The Color Room

I have been so consumed with deadlines and responsibilities I decided to do a scrapbook page just because I wanted to :) I love going to The Color Room for inspiration. Even if I don't have time to join in on their challenges I often use their color palettes for my other projects. Make sure to go and check out the group!!! Here is this week's challenge. I love the colors and I roughly based my layout off of the sketch as well!

Here is my layout...

I used Prima Marketing papers and flowers (of course) my colors were created with Shimmerz paints and Ranger Ink Distress Stains by Tim Holtz. The background feels a little rough to me but it's growing on me ;) (Never regret) I added some of Tim's metal embellishments as well.

I used a few of Karlie's photos to show how quickly time passes. She's growing up so quickly.  I used the distressing ink on the background in different layers. I cutout part of the background to create more dimension. I colored that piece of watercolor paper with Shimmerz sprays and paints. creating a nice contrast.

  3. Hi Jamie, Just wanted to drop you a line, that I think you do such awesome work. I just watched the last video you did for Prima (the one with the Encaustic wax) I loved it!!! And I ordered a few colors right away. We do not have the R&F brand here, so I'll have to find out, if the ones I ordered will work the same. Thank you for sharing your creative ideas!!!
