Exciting News

Couture Cardstock

I am officially on The Couture Cardstock Design Team :D I am really excited!! I get to play with cardstock and really get into my paper altering skills!!! And um Tattered Angels will Come in WAY handy LOL.

When I saw their booth at CHA I was so impressed by their quality and their pricing!! They carry so many different styles, weights, colors, ect. So it is a true honor to be working with them.

Also I wanted to share a couple projects I had made for ScrapGal this month. Our manufacture spotlight this month is American Craft. We will be having many activities this month including a blog hop, bingo, and more....So make sure you stop by

I made a wall hanging with some of the new Dear Lizzy fabric paper. I LOVE IT!!!!The banner was made with her PP and Maya Road chipboard banner set. The flowers were all made with her FP. I will have a little non sew tutorial on how to make the petaled flowers on ScrapGal's Blog This Friday So keep a look out. And I took a stab at crocheting and made the knitted flowers. Don't ask me a pattern because I have no clue LOL. I watched a couple youtube videos and went from there :D

I also made a LO using American Crafts PP and embellishments. Using a pic of my cutie little Frenchie Gidget.

Thank You for stopping by my blog. I really honestly do appreciate you following and commenting on my scrappy life :) I always enjoy looking at all of your creations and inspiration.

A New Month New Los :)

HEHE well it's not that bad. We had rain this weekend. So we were all held up in the house. Bouncing kids, bored husband and crafty mom. lol Great weekend overall. Lance is working out of town this week. It's been awhile so the kids will have some adjusting to do, not having daddy putting them to bed. :( Karls is excited because that means she gets to sleep with mom.

Well with March already here means new challenges and contests. First over on the Favorite Things Challenge blog we would like to see your Favorite friend. Here is my take on the challenge. This my BFF Tracie and I. I used some of Prima's new flowers and altered them with glimmer mists. On the large roses I started with Yellow Daisy then sprayed them with terra cotta and dipped the edges into Red velvet. The other colors used on this project were Sunflower, Burnt Red, and Walnut Gold. I stamped the butterflies using a Martha Stewart stamp set. I colored them in with Copic markers. The ribbon is from May Arts which you can find at Scrapgal.com The PP is Prima and boBunny The cardboard background is Prima as well.

This month at ScrapGal our Manufacture of the month is Cosmo Cricket. Head over to our Monthly Contests forum So on both of my ScrapGal LOs this month high featured Cosmos new Lines. Produce a Lo or challenge for a chance to win a prize pack of new Cosmo Cricket goodies. Other lines used were from American Crafts new lines.

The flowers are made from a pair of jeans I had bought that were about 10 inches too long lol. I will have a tutorial on how to make these flowers coming soon to www.thegalblog.com The ultra-suede leaves I stitched down the center. You can find these at the ScrapGal shop

Ok isn't this little green frame nifty? I found a few of these at Michael's for $1 WOOT. This is a LO about a cabinet sewing machine I was given that use to be my grandmother's. The top is so cool and retro. I feel so honored to now own it.

Have a wonderful week all. SMILE, CREATE, and don't take LIFE too seriously.

HUGS
